Sony PlayStation 3 and PS3 Games

If you're someone who's into games systems, then I guess it's pretty safe to say that you've heard about the PlayStation Portable, a device that is designed for handheld gaming. This gaming device was designed and developed by Sony. The latest gaming system from Sony Computers however is the PlayStation 3.

Microsoft XBOX 360 and Sony Playstation 3 have taken the world by storm. The games are absolutely amazing with out of the world graphics. The only problem is that the games are really expensive. I'm sure that everyone who has played XBOX 360 or PS3 games has scratched the disks and rendered them unplayable.

After many notable delays and production problems, Sony was finally able to release its PlayStation 3 console in order to meet the Christmas rush; Well not quite. Sony was indeed able to release its system; however this shipment numbers were nowhere near what was expected. It was estimated that only 500,000 units arrived up to the end of the year. This made it very difficult for anyone hoping to get their hands on a PS3 for Christmas last year.

It is worth to mention that the initial systems of Sony Playstations were obtained by hot-shot businessmen who paid mainly Chinese nationals to buy the playstations without any software to resell on eBay. According to Media Create, its opening show 81,639 PS3 systems were sold within twenty four hours of its introduction in Japan.

The CPU has been recognized to be of 3.2GHz Cell Broadband Engine along with 1PPE and 7SPEs. The system storage has been considered to be of 2.5" SATA hard drive with variations. The PlayStation was designed by Teiyu Goto and he has included some great features in its looks as well as the interiors.

Sony plans to continue its market dominance with the latest version of its successful console, the PlayStation 3. Sony s built the PlayStation 3 with a definite eye on the future. Sony designed the PlayStation 3 to be more than just a video game console. The bottom line: Sony's PlayStation 3 may be the most expensive next-gen game console, and its launch titles are not all that impressive, but its swanky design and bevy of features, including a Blu-ray drive, make it hard to resist--even at $600.

The Sony PlayStation 3 (80GB) Game Console interactive screens use the XrossMediaBar. It's new, very interactive, easy to use and straightforward. The console also acts a media center to allow you to view photos and videos, listen to MP3s and surf the Web. You can also play games online through the built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Also, if not used as a game console, the PS3 can be used as a Blu-Ray player to play HD movies.
